Develop and implement contract management procedures to streamline processes and maintain compliance.
Ensure that all contractual obligations, terms, and conditions are met by all parties.
Tendering and Procurement Support:
Prepare tender documents, including invitations to bid, scope of work, and commercial terms.
Evaluate bids and proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements and budgets.
Assist in selecting contractors and suppliers through a transparent and competitive process.
Claims and Dispute Resolution:
Analyze and resolve contractual claims, variations, and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
Provide detailed assessments and justifications for contract variations and claims, ensuring alignment with FIDIC or other applicable contract frameworks.
Represent the company in negotiations and arbitrations when required.
Risk Mitigation:
Identify potential risks in contract terms and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost and Performance Monitoring:
Monitor contract performance, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms and deliverables.
Work closely with the project team to oversee cost control, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
Conduct regular audits of contractor performance and compliance.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as a liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Support project managers with contractual advice and documentation to facilitate decision-making.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all contract-related activities, including changes, correspondence, and decisions.
Prepare periodic reports on contract status, risks, and key issues for senior management review.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as MRICS, CICES, or PMP are highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on infrastructure utilities projects.
Proven track record in managing contracts for large-scale projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of international contract frameworks, including FIDIC.
Proficiency in contract administration software and tools.
Strong understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of construction contracts in the UAE.
