Job Description

1. Strategic Management • Develop and execute a comprehensive trading strategy for food commodities, emphasizing bulk sales in local and regional markets. • Analyze market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business decisions and drive trading activities. • Identify and assess new trading opportunities, partnerships, and contracts to increase the company’s market share and profitability. 2. Bulk Sales Management • Oversee bulk sales operations, including direct sales to large-scale buyers such as wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, and government institutions. • Establish and manage long-term contracts for bulk commodity sales to ensure predictable revenue streams. • Monitor pricing trends and optimize pricing strategies for bulk sales to maintain competitiveness and maximize margins. 3. Sales & Distribution Oversight • Manage the sales operations executed by the distribution partner to ensure alignment with company objectives and performance metrics. • Support the distribution partner in streamlining sales processes, inventory management, and promotional activities. • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to distribution partners. 4. Trading Operations • Develop and maintain a portfolio of bulk trading clients, including identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships. • Negotiate trading contracts for food commodities, ensuring favorable terms and mitigating risks. • Manage supply and demand balance to optimize trading activities and prevent supply shortages or surpluses. 5. Relationship Management • Foster strong relationships with bulk buyers, suppliers, and distribution partners to enhance collaboration and trust. • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Build partnerships with logistics providers and ensure smooth and cost-effective delivery of bulk commodities. 6. Financial Management • Set and monitor financial targets for bulk sales and overall trading operations, ensuring profitability. • Analyze trading margins, costs, and pricing models to enhance financial performance. • Oversee credit terms and payment collection to minimize financial risk in bulk trading. 7. Regulatory and Compliance • Ensure all trading operations comply with local and international regulations, including food safety standards and import/export laws. • Maintain proper documentation for bulk sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness. 8. Market Development • Identify and capitalize on new markets for bulk commodities, both locally and regionally. • Drive initiatives to position the company as a trusted supplier in the bulk commodities market. • Monitor and participate in key commodity tenders to expand the company’s reach. 9. Team Collaboration• Work closely with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of trading activities.Provide input to the procurement team to align purchasing decisions with bulk sales requirements. • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns targeting bulk buyers.

Requirements

Educational Background • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred. Experience • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in trading and sales of food commodities, with a strong focus on bulk sales. • Demonstrated success in building and managing bulk trading operations and distribution networks. Technical Skills • Deep understanding of bulk commodity trading, including market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and trading contracts. • Proficiency in financial modeling, CRM systems, and trading platforms. • Knowledge of Egyptian food commodity regulations and international trade compliance. Soft Skills • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills. • Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. • Analytical mindset and strategic thinking to identify and exploit trading opportunities.
